Raptors versus Hawks Saturday November 19th 2022

The Raptors lose a close one in OT

It was a close game, but the Toronto Raptors ultimately fell to the Atlanta Hawks with a final score of 124-122. Despite the win, there are no bright spots for the Hawks. The Hawks are garbage; even with only 9 healthy bodies for the Raptors, they had a hard time beating Raps. Sooner or later, Trae Young is going to be out of Atlanta. This team is nothing to worry about.

Scotty Barnes showed his potential but missed the game-winning shot at the end. He had a game-winning shot. He had the perfect pass at the perfect time, but he couldn't finish the play. It was a heartbreaking moment for Barnes and all of the Raptor fans watching.

The Raptors Showcase Heart in the Loss

Although Raptors fell just short in the end, but they displayed tremendous heart and determination in their battle tonight. Scotty Barnes had a great game, scoring 28 points on 29 shots and grabbing 11 rebounds. However, he also made two critical mistakes that could have easily resulted in the game being over. The offense struggled down the stretch, with no one really stepping up to take control of the ball and make things happen. Despite this difficulty, however, the team fought hard and displayed great team play throughout. This type of effort is essential for any basketball team looking to win games; if everyone pulls together and plays their role correctly, there is always a chance for success.

What's up with Trae Young Trash Talking the Raptors bench?

There's nothing more fun than watching someone trash-talk another team. Especially when it's an NBA player. But there's also nothing more dangerous than trash-talking a team like the Raptors that can turn you over like 10 times a game.

I mean, come on, Trae. You forgot about your 10 turnovers in the first game. They trounced you by 30 points the first time you played them, and they almost did it again despite being hampered by injuries to nearly half their roster. It's one thing to exude confidence and enthusiasm, but Trae crossed a line by trash-talking the Raptors after the game. It was unbecoming of a professional athlete and showed poor sportsmanship. At the same time, it's not surprising that he did this; Young is known for his cockiness and once he gets going, it can be difficult to contain.

Nurse's mistakes are costly at the end of the game.

Nick Nurse should have run that last play for OG Anunoby instead of Scottie. He should have run a post-up action for OG. He knew what was at stake and that OG had a higher chance of making the shot. We were so close. Scottie has to finish. There's no doubt about that. In addition, I think he needs to be more aggressive at that time and go hard and dunk the ball.

Not to mention the game-winning layup with AJ Griffin at the end of OT. That just can't happen.
