Raptors are in desperate need of a win against the Orlando Magic tonight.
The Raptors are now 3-10 on the road, and they lost to the worst team in the Association, Orlando Magic, Friday night. The Toronto Raptors lost because they didn't show up. They played poorly throughout most of the game and never really looked like they wanted to win. Their defense was terrible, as they allowed the Orlando Magic to shoot 59.2% from the field. They only shot 42.4% themselves and missed several open shots that they usually hit. The Raptors didn't start the game well, giving up 37 points in the first quarter. After the break, the Raptors continued to struggle offensively. They scored just 24 points in the third quarter and trailed by 7 points heading into the fourth. The Raptors tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but they couldn't do anything special. They made a run toward the end of the game, but they still ended up losing by four points.
The Raptors should've won this game easily. They were the superior team but didn't perform well enough to beat the Orlando Magic.
Raptors turned the magic 18 times, but they lacked the firepower to compete with the 29th offense in the NBA.
Orland looked comfortable against the Raptors all night. Banchero, Wagner and Fultz toyed with the Raptors as they got downhill at will.
Wagner outclassed Barnes Friday night.
The drama over Barnes and Sugss in last year's draft is probably not as important anymore. But people have forgotten that Wagner was also in the same draft right behind Suggs. With Suggs being injured at the moment, you can't help it thinking about the decision of picking "Wagner over Barnes?" He looked like the better player Friday night.
There has been a lot of discussion in the Magic's world that Wagner is indeed the better talent compared to both Barnes and Suggs.
Wagner had 34 points, and 5 rebounds, with a couple of assists and steals in the game. On the other hand, Barnes was a -24 with 6 points and 6 rebounds. Barnes needs to response in a big way tonight. He needs to bring out the competitiveness in him tonight.
Although this may be hard to believe, the Toronto Raptors are in desperation mode tonight against the 7-20 Orlando Magic. They need this win.
