Raptors versus Kings Wednesday December 14th 2022

The Toronto Raptors take on the Sacramento Kings tonight at home.

The Toronto Raptors are hosting the Sacramento Kings tonight in Toronto, looking to make things right after back-to-back losses in Orlando. The Kings are coming off a two-game losing streak and are 3-1 on their current long road trip. They will be playing on a back-to-back as they try to end their six-game road trip with wins to regain some momentum in the West. De'Aron Fox leads the team with 22.3 points and 5.4 assists per game, and he's been a one-man show this season in the NBA. Domantas Sabonis adds 17.3 ppg and 11.3 rebounds per game, making him a force in the paint for the Kings. Toronto needs a lot of players to step up and contribute to a win, but they would depend mostly on Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet in the absence of OG. Pascal Siakam is leading Toronto with 24.9 ppg and 8.8 rebounds per game, but OG Anunoby is out due to soreness in his left hip.

Raptors versus Kings Wednesday December 14th 2022

Key Sacramento Kings Players to watch:

De’Aaron Fox: Fox has been leading the Kings since being drafted fifth overall by the team in 2017 and is averaging 22.3 points and 5.4 assists per game this season so far. He is also shooting 50% from the field and 35.6% from beyond the arc, making him an excellent asset for Sacramento regarding long-range shooting. Fox is also really explosive and his dribble penetration will cause problems for the Raptors all night. Toronto needs to find a way of keeping him under control which it's easier said than done.

Domantas Sabonis: The power forward has been putting up impressive numbers this season, averaging 17.3 points per game while grabbing 11.3 rebounds per game. This puts him fifth overall in rebounding across all teams in the NBA this season thus far.

Last Season's Record Against Each Other:

Toronto was able to beat Sacramento both head-to-head last season. However, this doesn’t mean that Sacramento comes into town to face a good Raptors team. Raptors are in trouble with so many questions to answer. The Raptors lost back-to-back games to a young Orlando team that had no business beating them. In addition, the Raptors will have to be without OG, their defensive stopper, for at least another week.

Raptors need to get things right in a hurry before things get out of control if they want to stay relevant in this tough Eastern Conference.

The game begins at 4:30 pm Pacific Time (7:30 pm Eastern) and can be watched live online via NBA League Pass.
