What was the Raptors' greatest year?

The Toronto Raptors made a change in 2013 when they replaced Bryan Colangelo (then general manager) with Masai Ujiri. This move would signal a new era for the franchise that would see them become one of the best teams in the NBA.

The Raptors saw a resurgence under Ujiri. In 2014, they reached the playoffs for first time since 2008. Ujiri was also able to make a risky yet successful trade that sent DeMar DeRozan from the San Antonio Spurs to get Kawhi Leonard.

Now it's up for Ujiri to build on that success with his team.

Vancouver was there a NBA team?

No, Vancouver does not have an NBA team. From 1995 to 2001, the city was home to the Vancouver Grizzlies. However, the team moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 2001. Vancouver is home to the Toronto Raptors, the local NBA team. There are also other professional basketball teams that play in and around Vancouver, including the BC Tigers of Canada's Elite Basketball League and Vancouver Volcanoes International Basketball League. There are many amateur and semi-professional basketball teams that play in local leagues.

Aside from playing basketball, there are many other recreational outlets for fans in Vancouver to connect with their favourite sport. The city's passion for basketball has not diminished after the departure of the Grizzlies. It continues to support the sport in many ways. What does "We The North” actually mean?

The Toronto Raptors are known for their anthem, "We The North," also known to as We The North Nation. It was written by rapper Drake and producer Noah "40" Shebib.

Drake wrote the song in Toronto while staying with a friend. Drake finished his album Take care with Kanye West. Drake decided to make lyrics about his hometown while there. Drake wanted the song to represent all Canadians. The song talks about unity, pride, and hope.

Drake began working on the melody to We The North in London, when he was filming the video for "Nice For What". The instrumental version of the song was recorded in one take.

Drake was writing the lyrics to the song, but 40 came up with the chorus. Drake was inspired by the hook and asked for permission to record it. Together, they worked to create the final product.

The official music video to "We The North Anthem", was released October 5, 2018. It featured Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes performing along with Drake and other musicians.
