Raptors Are Getting Healthy In A Hurry

Pascal, Scottie and Delano practiced today and are questionable for tomorrow's game.

Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes and Delano Banton participated in practice Sunday morning and are listed as questionable to play Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Raptors coach Nick Nurse said that Siakam and Barnes might need at least one more game to get healthy. Barnes' left knee is "fine," Nurse said before characterizing the sophomore forward as "OK" physically.

Targeting a return by next Wednesday or Friday. Pascal has been practicing most of the week but hasn't said if he can play on Monday.

The Raptors are currently 8th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 10-9. The Raptors are coming off a great win against the Dallas Mavericks last night, but they need a healthy lineup to keep winning.

While the Raptors are still trying to figure out their best rotation with all the injuries early in the season, having Barnes and Siakam should help stabilize things. Siakam and Barnes are both versatile forwards who can create for others. They will add a lot of depth and firepower back into the lineup.

Precious Achiuwa And Otto Porter Jr Will Both Remain Out Monday But Appear To Be Getting Closer To A Return

Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr will both miss Monday's game, but it looks like they're close to coming back. Porter has progressed in his injury recovery as he no longer wears a medical walking boot due to a dislocated toe. Porter should be in the lineup before Precious, realistically.

Achiuwa has started to shoot around in practice, but he's still a while before he returns to the court.

The Raptors need their depth players to contribute to make a run at the playoffs, and Achiuwa and Porter are two important pieces of the bench.
