What does "We The North” mean?
The Toronto Raptors are known for their anthem, "We The North," also known to as We The North Nation. It was composed by Drake and Noah "40" Shebib.
Drake wrote the song while visiting a Toronto friend. He recorded Take Care with KanyeWest, another artist. Drake decided to make lyrics about his hometown while there. Drake wanted the song to represent all Canadians. The song is about unity. Pride. Hope.
Drake started working on the melody for We The North when he travelled to London to film the video of his single "Nice For What." He recorded the instrumental version of the song in one take.
Drake was composing the lyrics and 40 came up w/ the chorus. Drake heard the hook and asked 40 if he could record it. They collaborated to create the final product.
The official music videos for "We The North Anthem," were released October 5, 2018. The video featured Shawn Mendes, a Canadian singer-songwriter, performing with Drake and other musicians.
What year did the Raptors win their inaugural playoff series?
Toronto beat New York 3-2 to win their first ever playoff series. This was the first time that Toronto had reached the Eastern Conference semifinals since Lenny Wilkens' tenure as head coach.

Toronto Raptors games usually take place during the weekdays between October and April. Weekends are often reserved in advance for concerts and festivals.
It's best to book tickets well in advance because they tend to sell out quickly.
Wednesday is the most popular day for Toronto Raptors fans to visit. Many fans show up early for pregame warmups.
Fans move on to Nathan Phillips Square after the game. It is located next door to ACC. They stay there until the end of the game.
The best time to see a Toronto Raptor team play is after 8 p.m. Fans should not leave the stadium after midnight, but they should return to celebrate their team’s victory.
